Iggy Azalea and Boyfriend Nick Young Front Forever 21′s Holiday Campaign

Iggy Azalea is putting those good looks (and Whilhelmina contract) to use this season as the face of Forever 21′s holiday campaign. For the ads, the rapper is joined by her beau, Los Angeles Lakers player Nick Young, who, according to People, was very comfortable in front of the camera.

Azalea seems to be the focus of the ads, clad in a series of festive looks: black-and-white suiting separates, a leather look pencil skirt with champagne-colored bomber jacket and a sparkly green minidress – perfect for holiday parties. Young looks quite fetching in a few holiday-ready suits, our favorite being the green plaid pant, white jacket, shirt and black tie combo.

It seems that Azalea is riding the “Fancy” train of the summer all the way through to the end of the year. Are you riding?

Gisele Bündchen Admits That the Images in Fashion Ads Are ‘Unattainable’

Image: SIPA/WENN.com

Image: SIPA/WENN.com

We can all agree that the fashion industry puts out some wildly unrealistic representations of women. But it’s another thing to actually hear one of the world’s most famous models admit that the images out there aren’t attainable in any way.

Gisele BündchenForbes magazine’s highest-paid model, sat down with The Sunday Times to promote her new campaign: Chanel No. 5′s Baz Luhrmann-directed commercial. The spot, complete with a Chanel surfboard and smoking-hot male lead, is the definition of aspiration — the character Gisele plays is troubled because she has it all. It is this kind of woman that the supermodel admits is making women feel inadequate. “Sometimes I feel like adverts like this can make women feel so distant,” she told the paper. “They are so glamorous and so unattainable and so aspirational that you really can’t touch them, in a way. They are kind of a dream.”

We’re guessing Gisele is fully aware that she does play a part in creating these untouchable images. But she defends the Chanel No. 5 ad for at least making her character a bit flawed, and therefore more relatable. “Of course she’s glamorous—she is powerful and successful—but she is also struggling,” Gisele said. “She’s a mother, a wife, and a professional. She’s juggling all of that, and you know that’s not easy.”

Certainly not, but we’re sure being able to pay for a nanny while you surf on your private beach makes it that much easier.

Ouch! Toni Garrn’s Harper’s Bazaar Spain Cover Is ‘Bad on Every Level’ (Forum Buzz)

Toni Garrn may be seen on the arm of Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio lately, but it appears the model cannot catch a break when it comes to delivering good fashion shoots. Toni sat before the lens of Michelangelo di Battista for the cover of Spanish Harper’s Bazaar, but our feisty forum members aren’t having any of it. The 22-year-old German beauty sports wet hair and a Lanvin dress, while perched on the studio floor for the 60s-inspired cover story.

The thread is rife with strong opinions from forum members. “This looks so bad! The pose, the hair, the background, the clothes, the shoes: I hate everything,” ranted Oxymore.

“This is really really bad! I have a lot of goodwill toward Vogue España so I won’t judge them too harshly but this one is pretty terrible,” shared A.D.C.

Bertrando3 even went so far as to say that the cover was “Bad on every level indeed…”

Also posting their disapproval was kokobombon, who commented, “This is so depressing imo… her expression and the blue hue is bringing me down.”

“This is terrible! It all looks so washed-up. Nothing is working here, the outfit, styling, Toni and the setting,” posted an underwhelmed Benn98.

MyNameIs was another member who wasn’t impressed: “OMG, this is horrid. One of the worst covers I’ve ever seen.”

“In the preview I genuinely thought it was a pastel drawing of Toni. She looks unreal, and not in a good way,” disapproved Cosmic Voices.

Harper’s Bazaar Spain certainly received a bashing this month, but are you a fan? Check out Toni’s cover story and join the discussion inside the thread here.

It seems everyone has put their opinions of Shia’s personal life aside and cannot stop expressing their appreciation for the actor’s latest appearance. “It’s a gorgeous cover. Interview can do these portraits like no one else,” shares anlabe32, kicking off the thread with a positive start.

“Love the cover. It’s a sophisticated, classic, timeless, yet somehow very bold cover. I love Shia. He looks very handsome here,” notes an impressed MyNameIs.

“Whoa, love the cover! I actually really like Shia, I think he’s incredibly talented so I hope he’s done being an idiot in his personal life. He was very good in Fury,” posts SallyAlbright.

Miss Dalloway agrees: “Fantastic cover and spread of him. I know he grates on many people, but even with his antics I still find him to be very talented, and secretly like him.”

Also to share the same sentiments is [PieceOfMe]: “I couldn’t care less about him, but the cover is amazing. Interview always manages to produce great covers, no matter who the cover subject is.”

There’s Already an Impostor Drunk J.Crew Twitter Account

Last week, a little Tumblr site called Drunk J.Crew won the Internet with its hilarious captions on J.Crew catalog models who, in attempts to look easygoing and carefree, actually look rather drunk. Now it seems there are people looking to capitalize on the success of the account, which has only been around for about a week.

According to former The Onion writer and stand-up comic Dan Telfer, there is an impostor Drunk J.Crew twitter account floating around and it’s gaining followers masquerading as the real thing. Apparently, the correct twitter and Instagram handle for the site is @DrunkJCrewUGuys, as opposed to @DrunkJCrew, which popped up on October 16. Jen Ellison, the Chicago-based comedienne and brain behind the Tumblr, posted her first tweet on October 17 stating that hers is the real account.

We looked through the alleged poseur account and it seems Telfer is on to something. Whereas @DrunkJCrewUGuys includes tweets and retweets of press snippets, @DrunkJCrew simply has photos ripped from the Tumblr page. We would think that were @DrunkJCrew a real account, there would at least be retweets from the several media outlets that covered the page.

Right now, @DrunkJCrew has about 500 more followers than @DrunkJCrewUGuys. We’re pretty sure Jen Ellison is looking to change that.
