Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s Vogue Japan Cover Is ‘Embarrassing’ (Forum Buzz)

She’s currently starring in Max Mad: Fury Road but Rosie Huntington-Whiteley‘s latest modelling gig involves gracing the cover of Vogue Japan. A refreshing choice for the magazine, it’s Rosie’s first appearance, which is why we’re a bit disappointed with the lackluster outcome. Lensed by Giampaolo Sgura, the Brit beauty sports a Bottega Veneta bodysuit for the title’s health and beauty issue and unfortunately ends up looking lifeless and over-airbrushed.

Forum members began to rant almost immediately. “Embarrassing. No other words,” expressed gazebo.

“The image is too bland for a cover and the layout too overpowering IMO. Rosie on the cover is surprising, is this her first VJ cover? I would never associate her with VJ,” kokobombon added.

In agreement was Oxymore: “That’s so bad. I don’t feel like Rosie fits Vogue Japan tbh.”

Moofins wasn’t showing the cover much enthusiasm either. “The pose is atrocious and her face looks plastic. Nah, no thanks. Nothing about this cover feels natural,” she complained.

“NO NO NO and looks incredibly Photoshopped,” declared Nomar.

Jabs soon came in for Sgura. “I think much of the blame here falls on Sgura’s shoulders. I have yet to see even one amazing, well composed, or fashion-forward cover image shot by him regardless of the model. How has he managed (and who does he know) to be a Vogue go-to cover photographer?” questioned zoom.

Starry announced, “The main problem they have to deal with is getting rid of Sgura from this magazine.”

Gwyneth Paltrow and Tracy Anderson Are Starting a Healthy Meal Service

Tracy Anderson and Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow is taking a page out of her friend Beyoncé’s book and with a new healthy meal service called 3 Green Hearts.

Paltrow is teaming with fitness expert Tracy Anderson and business partner Maria Baum for this project, which will offer meals for the health-conscious set. Of course, the food will be locally sourced, organic and very nutritious. On the menu, you’ll find things like fresh-made juices, gluten-free kale ravioli, quinoa salad, fish tacos and more. The meal plan also has a little something for folks with a sweet tooth. Anderson mentions “frosting shots,” which has already piqued our interest since eating frosting right out of the container – no cake or nothin’ – is kinda delicious.

But good luck getting your hands on the meals if you’re one of those poors who doesn’t frequent the Hamptons. Tracy Anderson will be selling the meals as take-out from her studios in Water Mill and East Hampton, though she hopes to expand the range so those of us who can’t take the jitney can also partake in her healthy delights.

Steven Meisel Out at Vogue Italia? (Forum Buzz)

Are you sitting down? Steven Meisel and Vogue Italia are allegedly parting ways. While we anticipate the release of the June 2015 issue, no hints have been dropped as to who the next cover star will be, but discussions in our forums suggest that Steven Meisel wasn’t Franca Sozzani‘s photographer of choice for the shoot. The duo purportedly had creative differences when debating the theme of the shoot and have fiercely parted ways. The news (if indeed true) is sure to send shockwaves throughout the industry. Meisel has achieved a legacy at the magazine, photographing every single cover under Sozzani, starting in 1988 with model Robyn MacKintosh

Our forum members are currently sharing their disbelief. “That wouldn’t shock me. If Meisel himself turned up on the cover, that would shock me,” laughed tigerrogue.

“NO!!!! Please don’t let Meisel go! Vogue Italia is the most artistic Vogue edition and without Meisel it will probably lose that image,” DutchHomme cried out.

“That is intriguing. I would be really shocked if Meisel stopped photographing for the cover,” shared a concerned Style Savvy.

Nepenthes is also in a state of shock, writing, “My first reaction to this would be sadness. I don’t know if it’d be for the best or not but I certainly hope he stays.”

“Ugh, Im gonna miss him for Vogue Italia. One of the few Vogue magazines that actually produced amazing, intriguingly beautiful editorials/covers,” VersaceVixen009 echoed.

But not everyone was saddened at the prospect. “Wowww thanks for all the good gossip, guys! It would be nice for VI to have rotating photographer covers. Steven Klein one month, Paolo Roversi the next, so on,” commented t-rex.

“Meisel’s work over the past year or so hasn’t warranted the hold he has on VI to be honest. I’d personally welcome a change,” added JesseDillon.

Nicolette Mason’s Christian Siriano Wedding Dress Was Everything

This weekend was a big one for blogger Nicolette Mason, who tied the knot with her partner Ali Talan at a ceremony at the Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The affair was attended by a few familiar faces like blogger Gabi Fresh, trans activist Janet Mock and designer Christian Siriano, who also happened to have created Mason’s stunning wedding dress.

The custom ivory gown had nude mesh overlay and was covered in rose gold paillettes in the shape of flowers. They created a kind of inverted ombré effect that was, in a word, gorgeous. Mason called the dress her “dream gown” and from the looks of it, it was exactly that. But besides being ridiculously stunning, the dress was also pretty versatile, as Mason and crew hit up Brooklyn Bowl after the ceremony for some good ol’ fashioned bowling in the very fancy dress. And, of course, not a hair or paillette was left out of place.

Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Is Heading Back to NYC for 2015

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

After all the hub-bub around the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in London, you would think the lingerie giant might be interested in a second staging of its annual event across the pond. But it seems that is not the case, at least not this year, now that Victoria’s Secret has announced that it’s coming back to New York City for 2015.

Victoria’s Secret is celebrating its 20th anniversary of the famous catwalk show this year, so it makes sense that the lingerie retailer might want to stick to its roots and hold the milestone event stateside. “New York City was the site of the first ever Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 1995, and holds a special place in our history and our hearts,” Victoria’s Secret CEO Sharen Jester Turney said. “For this year’s show, our twentieth, we’re returning to where it all began.”

Sorry, UK lingerie fans. Looks like Victoria’s Secret is going back to its roots for this one. Let the media madness begin.
