Cara Delevingne Leaves Chanel to Become the New Face of Christian Dior Cosmetics

Ever since she first came onto the scene, Cara Delevingne has been closely affiliated with Chanel — sitting front row, wearing the most coveted pieces to events and fronting countless campaigns. In a surprising move, the British model-turned-actress has jumped ship in favor of Christian Dior, becoming the new face of Dior’s upcoming anti-aging ‘Capture Youth‘ skincare range, set for release in early 2018. In the teaser picture (below), Cara oozes youthful energy while sporting her cropped brunette pixie cut. Joining the likes of Charlize Theron, Jennifer Lawrence and Natalie Portman, we’ll soon be seeing Delevingne’s face plastered across Christian Dior beauty counters everywhere.

Our forum member did not take the news lightly. “Wait, what? I’m guessing her dealings with Karl is now officially over. Odd to jump ship from Chanel to Dior. The money must’ve been right, or perhaps something else went down. Isn’t the ‘Capture‘ range aimed at older women, or at least those fighting aging? I don’t think she makes much sense for this line. To make matters worse, she looks like a robot in the teaser,” voiced Benn98 immediately.

“This is so weird. She has been the face of Chanel for so long! It is almost quite passé to use her as a ‘fresh’ or ‘youth’ oriented face for any brand,” Lola701 chimed in. (more…)

Marine Vacth Proves Less Is More on Vogue Russia’s Elegant November Cover

We have a feeling that we’re about to see a whole lot more of Marine Vacth now that she’s one of Chanel’s many brand ambassadors. The French beauty received Karl Lagerfeld’s seal of approval by becoming the face of the iconic fashion house’s Cruise 2018 collection and now fronts the cover of Vogue Russia. Recently, the magazine has delivered strong covers featuring the likes of Natalia Vodianova, Birgit Kos and Natasha Poly. For November 2017, Marine serves up an effortless, elegant portrait (wearing Chanel, natch) shot by photographer Emma Tempest.

Mica Arganaraz Tries Her Best to Be a Michael Kors Girl, Starring in the Resort 2018 Campaign

Over the years, we’ve become accustomed to the same formula from Michael Kors campaigns: beautiful models jetting all over the world via private jets, fabulous yachts and luxury cars. Shockingly, the brand’s new Resort 2018 campaign is devoid of any modes of transportation, luxury or otherwise. Mica Arganaraz is Michael Kors’ latest muse, taking us to a tropical setting (yes, please) as she lounges in the shade of a cabana for photographer Mario Testino.

But is Mica the quintessential Michael Kors woman? According to our forum members, she is. “I like it. Not a car/boat/helicopter in sight!” rejoiced kokobombon immediately.

“Well finally she’s out of the car!” proclaimed elle_gb. (more…)

Cate Blanchett and Chris Hemsworth Couple Up on Vogue Australia’s November Cover

Like Kate Moss and British Vogue, Cate Blanchett is certainly no stranger to Vogue Australia. For November, the Aussie actress is back on the cover again, but this time, she’s not alone. Continuing its fondness for boy/girl covers (Bella Hadid posed with Jordan Barrett for September), Cate is joined by her Thor: Ragnarok co-star and fellow Aussie, Chris Hemsworth. Photographed by Will Davidson, the pair pose poolside with Christine Centenera at hand and her exquisite styling expertise.

Members of our forums simply weren’t here for the cover. “Meh, lifeless, no magic at all between them, it falls flat,” complained Nymphaea the second the cover came to light.

“Such forced connection between them in the photos, kinda shocking. And man Edwina [McCann] is obsessed with Cate, the cover shot is easily the worst, and Cate’s worst cover for them,” added an unamused Miss Dalloway. (more…)

Sorry Louis Vuitton, Even Léa Seydoux Can’t Save Your Latest Jeff Koons Collaboration

Despite the critics (and our forum members’ disapproval), the instantly recognizable Louis Vuitton x Jeff Koons collaboration must have served the brand well, as the world-renowned artist and legendary French fashion label reunite for yet another collection. Now including the iconic works of Manet, Turner and Gauguin, actress and Vuitton brand ambassador Léa Seydoux replaces Alicia Vikander as the face of the collaboration. The team rejected the desert as the location this time around, opting for the studio with Léa reprising her role as the ultimate Louis Vuitton woman with effortless ease.

Love for Léa aside, it’s safe to assume that our forum members won’t be rushing to a Vuitton store anytime soon. “I can’t believe this Jeff Koons collaboration is continuing, it’s so ugly and the campaigns are nothing better. I feel sorry for Léa for having to participate in it,” wrote dodencebt straight away.

“Very cheap!” announced Nymphaea. (more…)
