Kanye West Feels Discriminated Against for Not Being a Gay Fashion Designer

Kanye West debuted his second Yeezy collection in conjunction with Adidas last month at New York Fashion Week, which was met with decidedly lackluster reviews. Expressing some mixed emotions about his role as a fashion designer, the rapper-designer feels the fashion world has discriminated against him because he’s not gay.

“I feel like I got discriminated in fashion for not being gay,” he told SHOWstudio in a recent interview. “In music, you definitely get discriminated in music if you are gay. It takes amazing talents to break down barriers. Everyone thought that when Frank Ocean dropped that it was going to be bad for his career. I feel like it’s so cliché to speak about him as it relates to this subject, but there are people who broke the ground and he broke the ground. The people that break the stereotypes make history.” (more…)

In news that should surprise no one, things are getting heated between married-but-soon-to-be-divorced couple Geoffrey Edelsten and Gabi Grecko.

The 72-year-old bazillionaire is claiming that 26-year-old model Gabi faked her pregnancy with his unborn child, which she reportedly miscarried just over a week later due to a nasty fall down a staircase. “I’m done. We’re divorcing. The whole pregnancy thing was false,” he told Daily Mail Australia as he was boarding a flight home from New York, where he says Gabi will now live.

Amidst rumours from the public that the pregnancy announcement was a cry for publicity, due partly to an image of a positive pregnancy test taken from Google, Gabi insisted at the time, “I would never do this for a stunt, that’s a horrible thing to say.” (more…)

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia has today announced that its 2016 event won’t go down as expected, with major changes in focus and timing enforced to better serve the Australian fashion industry and its global audience.

The highly anticipated event will now centre around resort collections rather than the Spring showcases of previous years, meaning Fashion Week Australia will become the first annual, organised presentation of resort collections.

The decision to become focused on resort collections was made in collaboration with local industry leaders, designers and the NSW Government, and the 2016 schedule will include our biggest fashion names to cement Sydney as a global fashion capital. (more…)

Nicole Kidman Wins Over Our Forums with Interview’s Stunning October Cover (Forum Buzz)

Even with the likes of Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez and Miley Cyrus involved, we couldn’t hide our dismay over Interview‘s shockingly bad September covers. Now as the title gears up for the release of the October edition, Interview is back on track with its latest unveiling. After her washout U.S. Vogue appearance back in August, Nicole Kidman delivers a stunning black and white portrait cover, shot by Fabien Baron.

You had best believe our forum members were impressed from the onset. “That’s so pretty and peaceful,” praised anlabe32 with Miss Dalloway quickly adding, “Simple, but gorgeous” to the discussion.

“Aah, so much better than last month’s disaster,” approved JessRubik.

“Now THIS is good! It seems like people ditched September and are now making October better,” said TaylorBinque.

Sharing the same sentiments was Wolkfolk: “Definitely puts Vogue‘s August issue to shame. Such a beautiful cover with an even more stunning cover story. Fantastic photography & art direction by Fabien and once again Templer’s styling is perfection. Nicole looks gorgeous, love the emphasis on her amazing legs. Very sensual editorial.”

“Stunning cover, Nicole looks gorgeous and natural. Also, the editorial is amazing,” commented burbuja8910.

“When Fabien and his Interview team are at their best, they create something interesting, beautiful, captivating, that draws me in, even if I never cared for the subject. That’s the power of a visionary and his talented team. And looks like Interview is back on track after that issue,” noted Phuel.

Nicole’s cover story surely is a must-see. Check it out and drop us a comment here.
