Grace Elizabeth Delivers the Goods (Natch) on Vogue Korea’s Cinematic June Cover

Ever since she first broke onto the scene, Grace Elizabeth has commanded covers of Vogue Italia, Vogue Paris and Vogue Russia, to name a select few throughout her impressive few years on our radar. Now, the current face of Chanel and Estée Lauder’s newest global spokesmodel takes to the cover of Vogue Korea for June 2018. The last time the Korean title took our fancy this much was back in March, where Kendall Jenner impressively managed to win over our forum members with two covers. This month, Grace was photographed by Hyea W. Kang on location in New York, on what appears to have been a blustery day down at the waterfront, looking utterly perfect for the beautiful and cinematic cover shot.

Our forum members couldn’t wait to show the cover some love. “I think I really like this. The image is very cinematic, I love the windswept hair, the color palette is beautiful and the text is quite clean and subtle,” admired dodencebt.

“This cover is absolutely gorgeous. Everything works: from the image to the color palette, to the text placement. Bravo!” Style Savvy applauded.

“Superb cover! Very classy, the styling is amazing, I love the face, the hair, the pose. It’s a great shot and the layout is good too, way to go Vogue Korea!” enthused Bertrando3.

Bella Hadid’s Long Overdue Harper’s Bazaar Cover Finally Drops

Considering sister Gigi Hadid has just made her third appearance on the magazine last month, it’s hard to imagine that Bella Hadid has never fronted American Harper’s Bazaar. We guess it’s better late than never as the beauty graces the just-released double June/July 2018 edition. Photographed by Solve Sundsbo and styled by Anna Trevelyn, Bella sports a gold Christian Dior mask and channels her inner Jean Shrimpton for the newsstand cover shot (below), giving us flashbacks to the magazine’s iconic Richard Avedon cover from 1965. In stark contrast, Bella looks serene and melancholy in the black and white subscribers cover wearing head-to-toe Christian Dior (Bella is the face of Dior cosmetics).

Per usual, anything Hadid related generated mixed feedback amongst our forum members. “OK enough covers but sigh… overexposed, much?” asked kokobombon the second the covers came to light.

“DAMN Bella and Gigi will never leave! Gosh, these girls bring NOTHING to the industry. They don´t express anything with their eyes, they don´t know how to pose or walk the runway. They are just there and famous for nothing,” complained Bertrando3.

Othilia Simon Does Her Best Exorcist Impression on Vogue Germany’s June Cover

Last month, members of our forums called Vogue Germany’s Luna Bijl covers dull and basic. Thankfully, the magazine took this month’s cover shoot in an entirely different direction with a bold and colorful Miami beach shoot for June 2018 starring Othilia Simon, who continues to gain momentum in the industry. Photographed by Giampaolo Sgura and styled by Christiane Arp, the French beauty is all smiles wearing a Christian Dior sun visor in the vibrant cover image (below).

Despite the magazine’s best efforts, our forum members weren’t all too fond of the outcome. “This is creeping me out. Her neck seems to be higher than her head? How is this pose even possible? Was her neck twisted? It feels like her face was merely added,” pointed out MON at once.

Gazebo shared the same sentiments, saying, “I do get The Exorcist vibes, especially with the deranged smile.”

Kendall Jenner’s First Appearance on ELLE Might Be Her Best Cover Shot Ever

Our forum members have only JUST started to warm to Kendall Jenner as a model. She recently managed to win them over with the cover of Vogue Korea and a spectacular Missoni campaign for Spring 2018. Kendall continues to dominate the newsstands, scoring her third American Vogue cover back in April and now takes to the cover of ELLE for the very first time. Nina Garcia enlisted photographer Chris Colls to captured Kendall in the Californian Desert for the June 2018 issue, resulting in a stunning newsstand cover. Kendal gives us major flashbacks to the good old days of the magazine in the late 80s, wearing Givenchy (styled by Anna Trevelyan), a subtle makeup look and wind-swept hair.

Members of our forums gave their approval instantly. “Who made this miracle? Kendall, you go girl!” championed ivano.

“This is a beautiful cover. Gorgeous colors, and the perfect amount of text. Kendall is serving some serious melancholy but it works wonderfully. I’m very impressed with this cover and I might just pick it up. It will be the first time I purchased anything with Kendall on it by choice,” confessed GivenchyHomme.

“This reminds me of late 80s, early 90s Gilles Bensimon covers. Love it,” samoanceleb raved.

Margot Robbie’s First Chanel Campaign Couldn’t Be More Beautiful

If you didn’t catch the news back in March, Margot Robbie is the newest Chanel girl, joining the likes of Marine Vacth, Kristen Stewart and Kaia Gerber as faces of the legendary French fashion house. Aside from wearing a custom Chanel Haute Couture creation to this year’s Oscars ceremony, Margot’s first official outing since becoming brand ambassador arrives in the form of an advertising campaign for the new ‘Coco Neige’ collection, a specific line dedicated to winter sports. Photographed by Karl Lagerfeld, Margot poses before a cloudy blue sky wearing select pieces from the new collection, while the color photography is a welcome change from Lagerfeld’s usual favored black and white.

Members of our forums flocked to the thread once the campaign image broke. “Love this — Margot is naturally beautiful, athletic and can pull off that gorgeous sporty tomboy vibe very easily,” approved SallyAlbright, about to set the tone for commentary to follow.

“Very beautiful! This is what we want from you Karl! The woman, the clothes, great light and simple and clean background (why is it so hard for him to be consistent with that?). Margot will be a good Chanel ambassador. I guess it’s a matter of time for her to be the face of a perfume,” voiced Lola701.

Town & Country Could Have Done So Much More With Karlie Kloss on the Cover

Town & Country managed to do Cindy Crawford a disservice with two underwhelming covers last month and now the publication fails Karlie Kloss, too. The all-American beauty, who recently appeared on Vogue Thailand and Porter, becomes a T&C cover girl for the magazine’s double June/July 2018 edition. The model-turned-entrepreneur appropriately fronts The Philanthropy Issue this month, wearing Ralph Lauren and photographed by Max Vadukul on location at the Zaha Hadid building in New York City.

Our forum members weren’t all too fond of the outcome. “Looks like a bland rendition of Vogue Australia’s sci-fi Gemma Ward cover. Maybe it’s her ashy blonde, or the dress, but I’m not a fan of this cover,” Benn98 stated at once.

“I like Karlie, could rant on forever how she is long overdue a solo cover of American Vogue, but there’s absolutely nothing about this cover which is working. The styling, the background and overall amateurish photography from Max Vadukul… lackluster cover to say the very least. A wasted opportunity, Town & Country!” vogue28 added.
