Who knew Hilary Duff was a budding novelist? For that matter, who knew Hilary Duff had gotten so glam since her Lizzie McGuire days?
As Hilary traveled the bookstores of the country last week, signing copies of her first novel, Elixir (Simon & Schuster), the actress looked much more elegant and poised than the teenybopper characters that made her famous. At a book signing in Miami, the actress played up a dazzling smile with her elegant chignon and statement black earrings (left). Her loose waves complemented the shredded black top that revealed a sexy flash of skin (right).
Duff wore a simple navy shift that tastefully showed off her figure with leg-elongating nude pumps while promoting the book on Regis and Kelly Live. Duff channeled fellow star-turned-writer Kim Kardashian in shiny leggings, sky-high pumps, and a black blazer at a bookstore in NYC (right). (Kardashian announced in April that she’ll be writing a book about love with her reality show co-stars.)
The former Disney darling posed with the book, which is a mysterious romance about a photojournalist named Clea, at a Barnes and Noble in Los Angeles, wearing a floppy velvet hat in the same colors as the cover (left). She showed off her legs again in a mini while chatting with Mario Lopez (right).
Rumor has it that Elixir is doing so well that Duff already has plans for a sequel.
