Celebrities Sparkle for the Holidays

Celebrities are used to getting dolled up and strutting their stuff down the red carpet. But as the holidays approach, the stars are adding a bit of glitter and shimmer to their wardrobes – a perfect way to celebrate the festive season!

At the 2010 Hollywood Style Awards, the stars were shining even more than usual. Teen queens Victoria Justice and Selena Gomez pose together in glitzy getups. Selena’s flowing BCBG dress is relatively understated compared to Victoria’s sequined Vivienne Westwood number.  90210 actress Jessica Lowndes shimmered in a metallic-gold Monique Lhuillier cocktail dress that works well on the red carpet and at any holiday party.

The Big Bang Theory actress Kaley Cuoco made noise in a 70s-inspired Oday Shakar one-shouldered dress, while actress Jodi Lyn O’Keefe also rocked the one-shouldered look in a blue metallic number that made her eyes pop.

While Anne Hathaway spends most of her time naked or under the sheets in her new movie Love and Other Drugs, she looked radiant in a sparkling dark grey J.Mendel gown at the Nobel Peace Prize concert in Oslo, Norway. The dress has an old Hollywood feel to it; a front-slit shows a little leg, and a sweetheart neckline keeps it classic. Never one to shy away from glitz and glam, Katy Perry showed up to the 2nd Annual David Lynch Foundation’s “Change Begins at The Met” event in a sequined Issa dress. Sequins are an excellent way to sparkle during the holidays!

The always gorgeous Angelina Jolie outshines everyone at most events, and her appearance at the Madrid premiere for her new movie The Tourist was no exception. Angelina looked every bit the movie star she is in a Swarovski encrusted top, with a full black-pleated velvet skirt by Atelier Versace.
