Weddings Gowns for Natalie Portman

The beautiful Natalie Portman, star of the latest film to take the fashion world by storm, Black Swan, recently announced her pregnancy and engagement to the choreographer of the film, Benjamin Millepied. In addition to being a principal dancer in the New York City Ballet, he also starred in Club Monaco‘s fall 2010 campaign shot by Victor Demarchelier. Also a dancer in the film, Benjamin and Natalie haven’t yet set a date, which does nothing to stop us dreaming of what she may wear to her wedding. Although a wedding gown may not be suitable for the Oscars, which Natalie will be attending with a baby bump, we can only hope that she will choose one of the gowns below for her nuptials.

Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig of Marchesa know how to make a wedding dress, and fashion forward Natalie would look incredible in one of their creations. This incredible pastel pink dress has a gathered waist that would slide over Natalie’s baby bump and is different enough to suit her classic, but daring, style. We love the romance of the beaded bodice and floaty chiffon in an oyster shell pink.

For a cocktail option, nothing is more sophisticated than a Lanvin. The ruffles on this dress would flatter Natalie’s tummy and provide a fun alternative to a classic wedding gown. And no one fits better than Mr. Albaz.

Natalie is a huge Rodarte fan and wore many Rodarte costumes in Black Swan, so it seems fitting that she should wear a gown designed by them. This dress may be from the Fall 2010 collection, but its old-world lace and cap sleeves make it a whimsical choice for Natalie.

Alberta Ferretti makes stunning, classic gowns, and should Natalie feel like walking down the aisle in something traditional, we can see her in this. Worn with a red lip and a classic side swept updo, Natalie would look incredible.
