Front Row at Chanel Haute Couture Spring 2011

Fashion insiders who were lucky enough to get runway-side seats at the Paris Haute Couture Chanel fashion show, paid homage to the designer in stunning neutral-toned outfits. Better not to take attention away from the sure-to-be-extravagant looks coming down the catwalk!

Diane Kruger turned up at the Chanel show in a beige dress with gorgeous beading from the Fall 2010 Chanel couture collection, and Miu Miu sandals. She sat in the front row with fashion-forward actress Kirsten Dunst, who wore a vintage-inspired navy silk dress with a pleated skirt by Chanel, paired with the perfect black pumps and red lipstick to make the neutral look pop.

Another front row mainstay, Alexa Chung, wore a structured Fall 2010 Chanel couture tuxedo dress with 90s-inspired platform heels. R&B singer Janelle Monae also rocked the tuxedo look – and the giant pompadour hair she’s famous for! – while toting a quilted black clutch similar to the ones Dunst and Chung carried.

Russian actress Anna Sherbinina and Chanel brand ambassador and stylist Caroline Sieber (who counts Emma Watson as a client) showed up in equally neutral palettes, but Sherbinina’s linen-and-lace combination and Sieber’s thigh-high boots didn’t lack an element of couture.
