Eva Mendes: Thierry Mugler’s New Angel

Eva Mendes is turning into a one-woman promotional machine. The actress has already appeared in advertisements for Revlon, Calvin Klein perfume and underwear, and Reebok EasyTone. She even has her own home line at Macy’s called Vida by Eva Mendes. Now, Eva will be the new face of Thierry Mugler‘s Angel fragrance, taking over the coveted spot from fellow actress Naomi Watts.

Naomi’s promotions for the scent were pretty tame in comparison to Eva’s risque commercial for Calvin Klein Secret Obsession, so it will be interesting to see what direction the campaign takes when it debuts this September. Eva has always had a sultry sense of style. The leopard-print Anna Molinari dress she wore to the Cannes photoshoot for We Own The Night back in 2007 wasn’t clingy, but its off-the-shoulder design allowed Eva to flash a little skin. The white Louboutin heels look fabulous!

For the New York screening later that year, Eva went with a white Valentino gown from the brand’s 2008 Resort collection. The sheer detail on this one-sleeved wonder really freshened up the look. Ready for a night at the opera, Eva’s strapless chiffon Yves Saint Laurent gown was an elegant choice for the April 2008 opening of La Fille Du Régiment at Lincoln Center.

She sure cleaned up nice in an Ikat patterned halter dress, after hitting a West Hollywood gym in October 2008. Eva looked comfortable at an August 2009 lunch in West Hollywood, wearing a basic white t-shirt and black harem pants.

For the 2009 Venice Film Festival showing of Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans, Eva managed to pull off this black cutout Armani Privè Fall 2009 number. The rosette embellishment at the hip helped break up the sleek lines. Eva had onlookers crushing on velvet when she wore a strong-shouldered Andrew Gn Fall 2010 gown at the 2010 Toronto Film Festival premiere of Last Night.

The actress bore a striking resemblance to Mariska Hargitay at Variety’s 2nd Annual Power Of Women Luncheon in September 2010 decked out in a striped frock from Salvatore Ferragamo‘s Resort 2011 offering paired with nude Sergio Rossi heels. While the blush-colored Pre-Fall Valentino Eva selected for The Art of Elysium’s 4th Annual Heaven Gala in January had a Renaissance feel. The draped neck, bow detail and ruffled shoulders on the silk gown made it all seem so demure.
