Julianne Hough is making moves in Hollywood, going from Dancing with the Stars to becoming a rising star herself. It probably doesn't hurt to date entertainment multitasker Ryan Seacrest but Julianne is diversified in her own right and this dancer/singer/actress is managing to find roles which allow her to really shine. She has a few films in the works including the remake of the 80s classic Footloose and is currently shooting Rock of Ages with Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, and Catherine Zeta-Jones. That means we’ll soon be seeing Julianne out and about promoting her new ventures.

Luckily, Julianne has gotten a lot of red carpet experience since her reality competition days. The black accent on this tiered BCBGMAXAZRIA frock, including a rose waist appliqué, helped prevent it from being too sweet at the 60th Creative Arts Primetime Emmy Awards back in September 2008. From frills to flash, the young star opted for a bronze and gold beaded Zuhair Murad gown when she attended the 44th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards in April 2009.

The cutout detail on this black jersey Camilla and Marc Carletta mini was made a little more conservative for Julianne’s appearance at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards in June of that year. She completed the ensemble with suede pumps and a black clutch. Her off-the-shoulder soft gold Georges Hobeika Fall 2010 dress complemented her darker hair color at the Los Angeles premiere of Burlesque in November of last year. A Judith Leiber clutch, Brian Atwood heels, and Neil Lane jewels combined to round out the look.

Old-school glamour was on display at the 2010 American Music Awards later that month thanks to Julianne’s lacy and sheer Marchesa Fall 2010 offering. Showing a bit of consistency, her trimmings once again included Neil Lane jewelry, Brian Atwood footwear, and a Judith Leiber clutch. She also stuck with Marchesa for the 2011 Golden Globe Awards this past January. Since the gown featured such a dramatically embellished collar, Julianne wisely played down her accessories.

Malandrino’s exquisitely printed chiffon dress really allowed Julianne to make a statement as she walked the red carpet at this year’s Grammys in February, especially with such a plunging neckline. She also carried a Jimmy Choo gold Tube clutch. For the 2011 Academy of Country Music Awards in April, Julianne selected a halter style peach Randi Rahm creation which she paired with golden adornments like this VBH clutch, Carrera y Carrera ring, Isharya earrings and bracelet.

Even though it was a tribute to Alexander McQueen, Julianne went with another legendary British label at this year’s Met Gala. Her patterned teal gown, alligator clutch, and black studded shoes were all by Burberry. This celeb knows how to keep it casual, too. Just check out the Exeter crew neck sweater by Rag & Bone, khaki shorts, and thong sandals she sported while shopping at Bristol Farms out in Los Angeles last month.
