Whitney Port: Reality Star Turned Designer

Whitney Port went from The Hills to The City and then back to Los Angeles where she’s concentrating on her career as a fashion designer instead of a reality TV star. Although there have been rumors that her canceled MTV series may be getting a reboot, her Whitney Eve label is her full-time gig and she’s even introducing a lower-priced extension this fall. The line may have detractors, but there’s no denying that its creator has an adventurous bohemian sense of style.

Those wild shoes were back in rotation a few months later as Whitney went shopping in Los Angeles with her sister. Shredded jeans, a patterned khaki top and new redder mane also were on display. Just last month, Whitney looked effortlessly chic at the 2011 Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic at Governors Island. Her Thakoon Addition twist front number was a uniquely sophisticated silk romper.

Whether she heads back to The City or stays in Los Angeles, it seems Whitney’s true focus remains on fashion.
