Christina Ricci is staging a big return to the limelight thanks to her role in the new ABC drama, Pan Am. The actress seems to be popping up everywhere lately, even as a guest judge on an episode of Project Runway. Christina isn't just reemerging on the small screen, though. She's also appearing alongside Robert Pattinson and Uma Thurman in the period film, Bel Ami. The petite star's style is sometimes quirky and usually daring which translates to her almost always standing out on the red carpet.

Her role as a flight attendant back in the 60s has Christina decked out in retro costumes on the set, but her off-screen wardrobe can run the gamut from preppy to Gothic and even avant-garde. She showed off her more demure side in November 2009 at the Prada book launch cocktail party in Beverly Hills. Her silver Prada dress featured a striking embellished shoulder detail.

The actress selected this more modern Marc Jacobs number for the 3rd Annual amfAR Cinema Against AIDS event held during the 6th Annual Dubai International Film Festival in December 2009. The ruffled gown featuring delicate silver trim came from the designer’s Spring 2010 collection. When Christina attended Chopard’s celebration of 150 years of excellence in New York City in April 2010, she decided to go vintage. She played down the accessories in an effort to allow her kelly green Galanos gown to steal the spotlight.

Never afraid to take a risk, Christina went with Givenchy at the closing dinner party for Marina Abramović: The Artist Is Present exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art a few months later. Her Fall 2010 black dress was adorned with both lace and feathers. A Hervé Léger by Max Azria Spring 2010 shimmering dress was Christina’s choice for the 2010 Whitney Museum Art Party a week later. Black heels and a coordinating clutch rounded out the look.

She was back in black for Broadway’s Time Stands Still opening night after party in October 2010. This embellished Alberta Ferretti Fall 2009 frock was shortened from the runway and styled with Yves Saint Laurent Tribtoo pumps. It was an unconventional ensemble from the Marchesa Fall 2010 offering at the 2010 Library Lions benefit in New York City last November. Her cropped black tuxedo-style blazer and pleated pinwheel skirt combination was styled with black tights, Yves Saint Laurent patent pumps, Fred Leighton jewelry and a clutch by Tiffany & Co.

Zac Posen was behind her dramatic lace couture creation which was a fitting choice for this year's Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art since it celebrated Alexander McQueen. The corseted mermaid gown with an intricate train was combined with Fred Leighton ruby and diamond drop earrings. For the Fourth Television Academy Honors in Los Angeles this May, Christina opted for a Dolce & Gabbana pairing of an ivory tie-neck blouse with a black pencil skirt. Salvatore Ferragamo black satin heels and a matching clutch completed the ladylike look.
