It was all in the details this week. Embroidery and various appliques were everywhere on the red carpet at a variety of events. There also was a nice mix of colors, textures and patterns. Pieces from Spring 2012 were popular, but a couple celebs went the nostalgic route by revisiting Chanel's 2009 seasonal offerings.
Kristen Stewart at the Los Angeles Premiere of Breaking Dawn Part 1
Kristen really was the standout on the Twilight red carpet in Los Angeles. Her J. Mendel Spring 2012 black and iris sequin brushstroke print sleeveless belted column gown also included a thigh-high slit. Black Jimmy Choo open-toe platforms, Neil Lane jewels and a surprisingly chic updo completed her on-point premiere look.

This embellished black Roberto Cavalli Spring 2012 lace gown was lined instead of sheer like on the runway and Kirsten also opted for a more structured Alexander McQueen black belt. She accessorized with the same Jimmy Choos she wore to the Los Angeles unveiling.

Nicole's sleeveless light purple Julien Macdonald Fall 2011 semi-sheer gown featured striking leaf embroidery. Not surprisingly, the designer opted for this python Olivia clutch from her own House of Harlow 1960 line as well as silver Chopard jewelry and Jimmy Choo heels to round out the look.

Jaime King at the 2011 MOCA Gala
This Oscar de la Renta Fall 2011 number may have been missing the front bow detail from the runway, but Jaime still managed to work the black velvet gown at the event. A pair of Christian Louboutin pumps, a Roger Vivier embellished clutch and vintage gems by Neil Lane completed the modified look.
