The Twilight actress sure has come a long way. Not only did Kristen Stewart rock two fabulous designer gowns to great acclaim at both the Los Angeles and London premieres of the latest Twilight film, but she's just been named the face of the newest Balenciaga fragrance. She's also appearing in some high-profile movies, including Snow White and the Huntsman along with the upcoming On the Road.

Balenciaga’s pick came as a shock to many since Kristen is known for her uncomfortable stances on the red carpet. The Los Angeles premiere of The Runaways back in March 2010 is a prime example. Maybe it was the bright pink color of this Doo.Ri Spring 2010 dress that accounted for her awkwardness. Those relatively safe black Jimmy Choo peep-toes probably helped put the star at ease, though. She was more in her element at the Rome premiere of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse in June 2010. Her black Marchesa Fall 2010 strapless embroidered dress was paired with satin Roger Vivier sandals.

It was another black mini for the Love Ranch Los Angeles premiere later that month. Kristen's shortened Azzaro Fall 2010 Inestimable dress was partnered with Sergio Rossi platform pumps. Kristen switched it up a bit at the 2010 Los Angeles Film Festival premiere of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse the next day by wearing white. This embroidered Elie Saab Fall 2009 Couture one-sleeve dress featured a back cut out detail. Christian Louboutin's Big Lips 120 suede pumps rounded out the look.

When it came time for the annual Met Gala last May, Kristen donned a surprisingly fashion-forward Proenza Schouler embroidered red silk halter dress with a significant side slit. She accessorized with a pair of 19th Century Berlin iron scrollwork bracelets by Fred Leighton. She also decided to go red for the 2011 MTV Movie Awards the following month. Kristen's Balmain leather dress was completely covered in safety pins, grommets and stars.

Just two days later, the star opted for Balmain once again when she hit Glamour’s 2011 Women of the Year Awards in London. The strapless off-white dress was styled with Giuseppe Zanotti grey suede pumps. Kristen actually switched into a pair of checkered Vans for the hand and footprint ceremony outside Grauman's Chinese Theatre this past November. She arrived wearing black Brian Atwood pumps, which were a much better fit with her nude-colored Marios Schwab Spring 2012 halter dress with Swarovski crystal net overlay.

All eyes were on Kristen at The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 world premiere in Los Angeles later that month. Her stunning J. Mendel Spring 2012 black and iris sequin brushstroke print mousseline sleeveless belted column dress included a thigh-high slit. Neil Lane jewels and Jimmy Choo heels finished off the look. Kristen's jet black Roberto Cavalli Spring 2012 embellished gown at the film's London unveiling a few days later was lined unlike the sheer runway version. She added in an Alexander McQueen leather belt to complete the ensemble.
