As Fashion Director at Large and creative consultant at Vogue Japan, Anna Dello Russo has become rather notorious for her eclectic styling. From veiled beanies and exaggerated headpieces to statement necklaces, she’s not afraid of piling on the accessories to create a truly memorable ensemble. H&M obviously appreciates Anna’s ability to accessorize, partnering with the Italian fashion icon on a collection due out this October featuring wonderfully over-the-top jewelry, shoes, sunglasses and bags.

This true fashion fanatic definitely knows how to make an impact wherever she goes. Back in September 2010, Anna appeared alongside Maurizio Cattelan at his Milan exhibition outfitted in Balmain’s navy, gold, and silver striped sequined silk dress with attached gold chain necklace. Alan Journo’s eye-catching hat was certainly the focal point of Anna’s 2011 Met Gala wardrobe. Her Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen embroidered tuxedo was also complemented by a Bulgari clutch.

White seemed to be a bit of a theme as Anna attended the 2011 Cannes International Film Festival. For The Tree of Life premiere, she donned this Alberta Ferretti gown with ruffled tiered skirt paired with a mixed media fascinator. She sported the same fascinator later that evening at the festival’s Fashion For Relief Japan Appeal 2011, but switched into a custom cream crepe dress with white camellia detail at the waist by Moschino.

Fausto Puglisi’s embroidered wool crepe dress was Anna’s polished pick for Fashion’s Night Out in New York City last September. She worked the red carpet at the Macy’s celebration with Karolina Kurkova. Just 10 days later, the stylish editor was seated next to Rachel Zoe at the Matthew Williamson Spring 2012 show during London Fashion Week. Anna’s white Tom Ford ensemble was styled with a Bottega Veneta clutch and Yves Saint Laurent wedges.

When it came time for Paris Fashion Week Spring 2012 at the end of September, Anna ambitiously hit several shows. She was spotted with stylist George Cortina heading into the Lanvin presentation decked out in a Louis Vuitton Fall 2011 outfit, another Alan Journo hat and Eddie Borgo earrings. The very next day saw Anna posing outside the Chloe show wearing a semi-sheer Stella McCartney Fall 2011 dress, a Stephen Jones for Jil Sander Spring 2012 veiled hat, Prabal Gurung for Linda Farrow sunglasses from the Spring 2012 offering along with boots and a clutch both by Tom Ford.
Anna was back in Fausto Puglisi for the London unveiling of Victoria Beckham’s clothing line at Harvey Nichols in February. She teamed her customized dress with those black Tom Ford boots, a lavish Alan Journo hat and a white feathered Yves Saint Laurent cape. Her golden headwear also made an appearance during Milan Fashion Week Fall 2012 the following week. It reinforced the Renaissance vibe of her sophisticated red Valentino Spring 2012 gown.
While we may not always understand the method behind her style madness, we’re certainly immense fans of Anna’s willingness to experiment as well as her enviable designer-stocked closet.
