We are no strangers to the Duchess of Cambridge’s impressive fashion choices, but we certainly didn’t expect a daring thigh-high split dress yesterday as she turned up to the Claridge’s Hotel in the lucrative Mayfair area. Kate, accompanied by William, was attending a secret meeting (not a very well kept secret if you ask us!) for the Thirty Club, which is a group consisting of leading advertising and media specialists.
The floor length cream dress was by the London based designer Roland Mouret, and its thigh-high split detail certainly wowed the crowds (and The Fashion Spot forums). She teamed it with a Jimmy Choo beaded clutch and silver crackled leather heels. She accessorised the outfit with a pair of Eva earrings by Beaut via Jenny Packham, and finished the look with delectable damson painted toe nails. Swoon!
She’s recycling again! She wore those gorgeous Jimmy Choo heels last year on the red carpet in LA. Plus, the eagle eyed amongst you will also notice that those beautiful vintage earrings are the same ones she decorated her ears with last November at a fundraising evening at St James’ Palace. They’re definitely not the kind of earrings you would want to keep locked away in your jewellery box, so rightly so that she wore them again.
Roland Mouret's Biggest Fan?
It seems that Kate is also becoming quite the fan of Roland Mouret too. She opted for one of his navy Manon dresses whilst undergoing her official tour of Canada. The French designer, Mouret, creates iconic pieces, and was recently responsible for dressing a number of high profile movers and shakers at the Met Ball in New York.
