This year marked the 70th anniversary of the awards and the stars celebrated in truly glamorous fashion. Red, pink and blush were popular shades with several celebs also opting for artfully accented black gowns. There were the standard silhouettes including mermaid and traditional ball gowns, while cut-out accents still appeared to be in fashion. Apparently, Angelina Jolie’s leg-baring moment from last year’s Oscars lives on as attendees like Lea Michele, Halle Berry and Eva Longoria flashed quite a bit of leg on the way into the festivities. Here’s a recap of some of the more memorable looks from last night’s Golden Globes.
Anne reached back into the Chanel archives for her Golden Globe gown. The embellished white Spring 2009 Couture creation was styled with Chanel Fine Jewelry, a Roger Vivier clutch and Aldo footwear.
Taylor absolutely stunned in this plum Donna Karan Atelier taffeta gown. Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, a clutch by Oroton and Rene Caovilla shoes all served as accessories.
Emily’s gold embroidered Michael Kors gown featured strategic side cut-out accents. Colorful Lorraine Schwartz earrings, a Salvatore Ferragamo bag and Vince Camuto heels wrapped up the striking look.
Amanda opted for a super feminine Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci lace creation. She kept her makeup natural to complement the delicate nature of the gown and added in Fred Leighton jewelry.

Zuhair Murad designed Jennifer’s wardrobe for her recent tour and the collaboration continued last night. The multifaceted entertainer’s long sleeve embroidered ivory lace gown was partnered with a Jimmy Choo clutch and Christian Louboutin pumps.
After a successful showing at last week’s People’s Choice Awards, Lea once again opted for Elie Saab. Her white embellished Spring 2012 halter gown with significant slit was set off by emerald Lorraine Schwartz earrings and Giambattista Valli pumps.
Both Nicole and her husband Keith Urban were nominated for awards last night. Although neither won, Nicole still scored a victory in this black Alexander McQueen Spring 2013 studded gown styled with Fred Leighton jewels and Manolo Blahnik pumps.
Carolina Herrera's Pre-Fall 2013 floral print ball gown had Lucy standing out on the red carpet. She finished off the look with Lorraine Schwartz gems, a Salvatore Ferragamo clutch and Giuseppe Zanotti heels.
Jessica accepted her award for her role in Zero Dark Thirty in a seafoam Calvin Klein halter gown. Harry Winston jewels added some real sparkle to the look.
Amy embraced the mermaid silhouette with this pale pink Marchesa strapless gown. Tiffany & Co. jewels and Casadei pumps wrapped up the look.
The melon hue of Jessica’s Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2013 silk gown really made it pop on the red carpet. Harry Winston jewelry, a Roger Vivier Pochette Prisme Poodle clutch and Jimmy Choo Kalpa platform sandals were the perfect finishing touches.
Kerry kept her impressive streak going with this semi-sheer ivory Miu Miu dress. Prada was behind both her clutch and pumps, while her jewels came from Fred Leighton and Chopard.
The Smashed star opted for a pretty dramatic black Donna Karan Resort 2013 silk organza gown with a textured full skirt. A pair of statement earrings and stacks of bangles rounded out Debra’s look.
Nicole’s light blue Naeem Khan Spring 2013 embroidered gown included a jeweled neckline. H. Stern earrings, a feisty fringed bag by House of Harlow 1960 and Brian Atwood pumps all served as accessories.
It was an ornate Monique Lhuillier Pre-Fall 2013 tulle gown with golden details for Julianne at the awards. Julianne completed her look with Daniela Villegas jewels, a Salvatore Ferragamo clutch and Jerome Rousseau shoes.
Megan hit the red carpet in a blush-colored Dolce & Gabbana lace gown. Lorraine Schwartz gems, a gold Salvatore Ferragamo clutch and Jimmy Choo heels wrapped up the look.
The New Girl star projected a familiar old-school vibe courtesy of this red strapless Oscar de la Renta gown. Zooey accessorized with Kwiat jewels, an Edie Parker clutch and Casadei footwear.
Jennifer was another lady in red at the awards. The award-winning actress wore a fiery Christian Dior Fall 2012 Couture gown complete with a metallic belt and carried a Salvatore Ferragamo clutch.
Hayden was nominated for her performance in Nashville and impressed in a ruched Roberto Cavalli mermaid-style gown. Forevermark jewelry and a perfectly pink Kotur clutch polished off her look.

Olivia’s strapless Giorgio Armani dress with turquoise bodice comes from the Spring 2013 collection. Armani was also responsible for her clutch and heels, while Chopard was the source of that dazzling necklace.
Halle’s one shoulder Atelier Versace Fall 2012 gown featured an almost indistinguishable pattern. She capped off the look with a nude pair of Christian Louboutin pumps.
The Downton Abbey actress made a bold statement in Alexandre Vauthier. Michelle’s Fall 2012 Couture crepe gown with structured golden bodice was accented by gold accessories.
New mom Adele picked up her award for Best Original Song in a black Burberry gown with lace accents. Cartier jewels polished off the singer’s look.
Marion went with an asymmetrical red dress from her favorite brand, Christian Dior. She capped off her Couture look with matching pumps.
Sienna’s eye-catching Erdem creation was covered in bright floral appliqués. Van Cleef & Arpels earrings and Giuseppe Zanotti heels rounded out the look.
Rachel’s custom Louis Vuitton black dress featured sheer details. She completed her look with a Bulgari High Jewelry Collection Serpenti bracelet and a Jimmy Choo Candy clutch.
It was a black long sleeve Alexander McQueen with keyhole accent for Kate last night. What really made the gown stand out was its golden embellished collar.

Saint Laurent’s Spring 2013 collection has its share of detractors, but Rosie somehow managed to make this black gown with corset belt translate on the red carpet. She polished off the Gothic look with rings by both Dana Rebecca Designs and Norman Silverman as well as matching ankle strap peep-toe pumps.
Katharine went with a daring black satin Theyskens’ Theory Spring 2013 gown. The former American Idol contestant concluded her look with an Oroton Society clutch.

It may have been Ben Affleck’s night, but Jennifer drew some attention on the red carpet thanks to her red Vivienne Westwood beaded gown. David Webb gems, a Roger Vivier clutch and Salvatore Ferragamo heels completed the look.
The Good Wife star stood out in an embellished Emilio Pucci. Julianna pulled her hair back into a sleek ponytail to show off the gown’s exposed back.
