If, like us, you were glued to the Golden Globes red carpet just waiting to see what fashion feasts were in store, then you will have also noticed the trend towards washed-out tones. Once more, beiges reigned supreme, as some of our favourite A-listers decided to opt for outfits that, we could almost say, drew attention away from them. This trend to neglect colour-popping dresses that instantly demand our attention seems to be on the increase, and is taking centre stage at more and more high profile events.
So, if you thought that you could only wear muted tones or subtle beiges whilst sporting a fresh holiday tan, then you thought wrong, as stars such as Anne Hathaway and Jennifer Lopez (above) prove that you don’t have to be blessed with the skin tone of a Brazilian supermodel to pull off the look.
