Jessica Alba is the latest celeb to try the checkerboard trend, wearing the designer’s black-and-white long-sleeved dress with a midi skirt and boat neck at the InStyle Golden Globe awards after party. The actress balanced the medium check with simple styling—an envelope clutch, pumps and a low pony were the only accessories she needed. Kristen Stewart was the first to don the collection at the premiere of Breaking Dawn Part 2 in Tokyo. Critics swooned over her oversized check ensemble which was somewhere between menswear and romper, and fit her borrowed-from-the-boys aesthetic perfectly. Kirsten Dunst wore a copper version to the Art of Elysium Heaven gala. Her floor-length dress featured a low, square neck and strong shoulders, and she smartly accessorized it with matching pointy pumps and a white clutch. Hailee Steinfeld looked straight out of The Factory at her Sweet 16 party, wearing a slightly busier shorts suit in a circular check. Her shiny red clutch added punch.

At the Goya Awards in Spain, María León lightened up the look in a champagne and white checkered mini dress. She kept the look monochromatic in matching sandals and a white bowling bag. Kerry Washington endeared audiences at the Berlin premiere of Django Unchained, wearing a midi version of the dress with a larger print in shimmery peach and white. Sweet touches like her bow headband and white pumps finished the pretty look. Tallulah Harlech stood out at the BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund event in a two-piece yellow and white ensemble which she left half unbuttoned to reveal some midriff (like the look was presented on the runway). Juno Temple wore a funkier version with a pleated skirt at a screening of Magic Magic at the Sundance Film Festival. The dress’ green color played off the actress’ signature red locks.

Bérénice Bejo looked lovely at the premiere of Populaire in Paris, shimmering in a silver and white dress which she contrasted with red heels. Check yourself out in one of these stylish checked pieces inspired by the celebrity-approved collection:
