30 YEARS OF AVENUE ICONS

A special gallery instillation featuring the images of some of the fashion industry’s most powerful players as they have appeared in Avenue Magazine was recently unveiled at the Park Avenue Armory. The installation, titled ’30 Years of Avenue Icons’, featured, among others, photographs of Marc Jacobs, Isaac Mizrahi, Georgina Chapman, and Nan Kemper.

Many of those featured in the exhibition where at the unveiling.

Of note was Georgina Chapman who was decked-out in a gorgeous pencil skirt covered in black feathers which she paired with Loubies. She was accompanied by her equally stylish Marchesa co-designer Keren Craig.

The unveiling of the gallery instillation was tied to the Avenue-Wendy Show’s Benefit Gala for Antiques & Art at The Armory to benefit The Yale Center for Dyslexia and Creativity. The Benefit Chairs were Claude Wasserstein, Julie Dannenberg, Richard & Marcia Mishaan, and Sally Shaywitz, MD who founded the Yale Center for Dyslexia and Creativity, which will officially open this month.

Antiques & Art at the Armory is the newly merged Avenue/Wendy Shows’ inaugural show and has over 70 international vendors with a variety of unique, one-of-a-kind antique and contemporary items including many contemporary jewelry vendors that included a beautifully curated selection from Joyce Groussman Estate and Fine Jewelry and Sherrt Sheaf Private Jeweler.

The show runs through December 7th for more information you can visit www.avenueshows.com.
