Isn’t it true that it’s always the campaigns that draw your eyes to the new models? It is refreshing to see unknown faces being linked to big names, Miu Miu brought quite an amount of buzz to Mimmi Soderstrom and the other girls, for example.
Here are two others who caught my attention with their campaigns.
Ernesta Petkeviciute, 18, from Lithuania, with Next Milan & Paris
Nina Ricci (Accessories/Eyewear/Watches?)
Last season, Ernesta had an unfortunate incident of hurting her leg during a Marc Jacobs fitting, which prevented her from working during a good part of runway season. She made it to Paris in the end, but didn’t do that well. But you can’t deny her versatility in her print work, the profile of her face is incredible, and she obviously knows how to work her angles. Earnesta did a few resort/cruise ’10 presentations and is already earning comparisons to Twiggy thanks to her bambi eyes.

This girl is amazing. In an interview, she mentioned that she wanted to be a model since 9 and that she went through 8 agencies before settling on NYMM. Judging from how much she’s working all her pictures, there’s no doubt she will go far. I can’t wait to see her on the runways.
