For the most part, the women I admire most on the red carpet are the ones that have experience in the world; women who aren’t kids, women like Julianne Moore and Helen Mirren. As for kids…I do love Anne Hathaway. She takes risks and knows what she looks good in. For me, the takeaway is to be true to yourself and it all goes back to semiotics. How do you want the world to perceive you? When you’re true to yourself, if people don’t like it, well, that’s that and you didn’t compromise or wear something just to accommodate trends or a stylist. This is also why I always tell the truth — if you always tell the truth, you never have to remember what you lied about!
