There’s nothing comfortable about a long-haul flight, so we get that you want to wear something you can just kick back in (even if your seat only goes back an inch). But please, no more Uggs, leggings and sweats at the airport—comfort while traveling doesn’t have to come at the expense of style. We turn to the celebrity jet-set for tips on what to wear to be both cozy and chic at the airport.
Julianne Moore at Nice
Julianne Moore breezed through the airport at Nice wearing a silky pair of tapered pants and a swingy blazer over a tissue tee for a look that has jet-set written all over it.
Tip: An unstructured blazer and relaxed trousers provide casual—and comfortable—sophistication while traveling.

Emma Watson at LAX
We want to wear Emma Watson’s A.L.C. sweater and skater skirt on our next trip. The pairing is grungy-girly perfection, especially with her addition of tired-feet-friendly brogues.
Tip: Coordinated separates like the actress’ sweater and skirt can save suitcase space by being recycled into more outfits.
Freida Pinto at Nice
Just because you want to catch some zzzs on the flight doesn’t mean your look has to be a snooze. Freida Pinto combined bright pieces like a red Reese + Riley blazer and patterned Ella Moss joggers for a look that was cute and colorful all the way down to her pink shoelaces.
Tip: Laid-back printed pants like Pinto’s are the perfect excuse to wear pajamas out of the house.

Heidi Klum at LAX
Heidi Klum made the security check at LAX a little easier in a sheer T-shirt by Elizabeth and James and tucked her super-comfy joggers into a pair of Rag & Bone boots.
Tip: A pair of silky tapered jogging pants are taking the place of leggings as wear-anywhere pants.
Victoria Justice at LAX
Urban pieces and pattern mixing gave Victoria Justice’s travel outfit a youthful, streetwise vibe at LAX.
Tip: A flannel tied around the waist stays current with the 90s-revisited trend and comes in handy when the air conditioning kicks in.
Cameron Diaz at LAX
We want to cozy up in the oversized sweater Cameron Diaz wore at LAX. She paired it with Lanvin wedge-heel boots and a tan Celine tote.
Tip: Keep your slouchy pieces on the feminine side with a comfortable wedge heel.
Rita Ora at Heathrow
Rita Ora made a statement on the runway at Heathrow. The singer’s look was all about athletic comfort, from her graphic printed Opening Ceremony tracksuit to her sporty sneakers.
Tip: Not all traveling tracksuits have to be of the velour variety.

Eva Longoria at LAX
Eva Longoria looked vacation-ready at LAX in a striped Splendid hoodie, white shorts, strappy sandals and a Coach tote.
Tip: Update your favorite lounge piece, the hoodie, with on-trend Breton stripes.
Dakota Fanning at LAX
Dakota Fanning was undercover at LAX in a yellow hat and Quay sunglasses. We’d love to take a stroll in her oxblood leather espadrilles by Celine—and carry our passports in her mint green crossbody bag.
Tip: Espadrilles are the perfect answer to heel fatigue.
Jessica Biel at LAX
Jessica Biel elevated her neutral basics at LAX with a punchy pair of round mint sunglasses and a bright manicure.
Tip: A white T-shirt is just as comfy but looks so much more chic with chinos.

Mary-Kate Olsen at LAX
Mary-Kate Olsen wrapped up in an eye-catching printed coat at LAX, wearing it over black basics and a pair of slides.
Tip: It’s never a bad idea to travel in a pair of shoes you can kick off to go through security.
Lily Aldridge at LAX
Lily Aldridge proved that there’s nothing boring about a sweater and skinny jeans, wearing a snake-print pullover at LAX. She kept things super simple and paired the look with Rag & Bone boots and Ray Ban aviators.
Tip: Easy-to-wear printed pieces like the model’s sweater are your best travel companion.
Paris Hilton at LAX
Paris Hilton proved that the maxi dress just might be the perfect alignment of style and comfort while traveling. Her floral Alice + Olivia dress made a charming ensemble with a wide-brimmed hat (no mini-dog necessary).
Tip: A pretty printed maxi dress can take you straight from landing to a nice dinner out.
Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge at Yulara Airport
Not everyone can exit planeside like Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge did at Yulara. But for times when you have to go straight from the plane to a meeting or party, a dress with soft structure like the princess’ Roksanda Ilincic frock is the perfect answer.
Tip: Choose fabrics that won’t crease after hours on the plane.
Leona Lewis at Tegel
Leona Lewis landed at Tegel airport in Germany for the MTV Europe music awards wearing an all-American look that consisted of distressed boyfriend jeans and a Southwestern print blanket coat.
Tip: Travel in bohemian comfort with a blanket coat.
Kim Kardashian at Charles de Gaulle
Kim Kardashian landed at Charles de Gaulle in a tuxedo jacket, denim shirt and moto pants by Balmain.
Tip: A denim shirt gives your travel look an adventure-ready, rugged sensibility.

Kate Upton at LAX
Kate Upton carried not one, but two, blue bags by celeb favorite luggage maker Celine, the only color in her otherwise monochrome look.
Tip: When in doubt, you can’t go wrong with head-to-toe black.
Adele Exarcharopoulos at Nice
Adele Exarcharopolous arrived at Nice for Cannes in a camera-ready ensemble that consisted of a floral dress with tights, boots, and a leather jacket. We love the contrast of her red luggage with the dark outfit.
Tip: Even if you can’t afford a luggage set, you can match your bag to your suitcase for a coordinated travel look.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley at LAX
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley always looks put together, even after a long flight. Her on-the-go accessories at LAX included suede Brian Atwood boots, a hunter green Givenchy bag and her signature studded Saint Laurent leather jacket.
Tip: A leather jacket makes your traveling look street-ready for your arrival.
