After all the buildup (and the controversy), the Oscars red carpet didn’t disappoint. There was plenty of drama on the fashion front with dynamic details in the form of Swarovski crystals paired with white feathers, glitzy embroidery and some head-turning trains. Stars like Charlize Theron and Olivia Wilde really took the plunge with low-cut necklines, while Lady Gaga rocked a jumpsuit hybrid. Pops of color brightened up the red carpet with shades of orange, pink, blue, yellow, green and purple all trending. Quite a few celebs opted to keep things neutral, though, favoring more stark black and white creations. Bling was definitely in as stars jazzed things up with ornate chokers, dazzling pendants and sparkling statement earrings. The fellas kept things pretty classic, but a couple guys stood out in white tuxes or pants sporting rolled cuffs. Check out all the fashion highlights from this year’s ceremony in the slideshow above.
