Watch the Magnificent Cate Blanchett Lip-Sync ‘You Don’t Own Me’ at NYC Drag Show

Just when we thought it was impossible to love Cate Blanchett any more than we already do, the Aussie kween of stage and screen goes and pulls something like this.

Donning a burlesque get-up so sparkly it would make the Lady Galadriel blush, Blanchett took the stage at a charity drag show at New York’s iconic Stonewall Inn and performed a fan-bloody-tabulous lip-sync routine to Dusty Springfield’s ‘You Don’t Own Me’ (AKA the female empowerment anthem from The First Wives Club) flanked by Miss Gay of USofA Aurora Sexton, trans activist Candis Cox, drag icon Brenda Dharling and more.

And ‘sif that alone wasn’t amazing enough, the whole thing was for a good cause: raising money and awareness for the Newtown Action Alliance, an anti-gun violence group working to save lives through stricter gun control.

The Oscar-winning Aussie glamazon also returned to the stage later in the evening to back up singer Margeaux Powell as she belted out Adele’s mega-hit “Hello”.

Check out fan-shot footage of both performances (and bow the hell down) below.
