Gigi and Bella Hadid’s Mom to Host New Show Coaching Teen Models

If former Real Housewife Yolanda Hadid (previously Foster, now Hadid again because #branding) knows anything, it’s how to raise a successful supermodel. Her children Gigi, Bella and Anwar are three of the most in-demand, hardest working hot people in the industry. The Hadid matriarch’s also known to give good reality TV. And so, at the behest of Lifetime, Hadid is returning to the small screen as the lead in her own unscripted — is there really such a thing? — reality TV show, tentatively dubbed Model Moms, which will capitalize on Hadid’s unique skill set.

The premise is very America’s Next Top Model meets Dance Moms. The series will follow Hadid as she coaches aspiring teen models to succeed both on the runway and in life. “Yolanda, along with her trusted team of experts, will put the girls and their ‘momagers’ through an intensive eight-week training program, focused on the physical, mental and emotional wellness that it takes to build a sustainable brand,” stated the network in a press release.

Each week, the top performer will be awarded a $5,000 cash prize, to be put toward the teen’s future career. At the end of the run, Hadid will select one grand prize winner, who will sign a management contract with Hadid’s company and have a shot at representation by IMG Models. (IMG oversees the careers and contracts of all three Hadid siblings, not to mention Kaia Gerber, Hailey Baldwin, Ashley Graham, Hari Nef and countless other top models.)

The show has yet to begin production, but we’ll update this space as more information becomes available. Here’s hoping Gigi, Bella and Anwar show their support with a cameo or two.
