Lauren Conrad Debuts Clothing Line Paper Crown!

Her new MTV reality show may have been cancelled, but the collection that stars in it still remains. Here's a peek at Paper Crown.

She was the star of The Hills and wrote a book on style, now Lauren Conrad gives us the clothing line Paper Crown. Having designed collections in the past for Kohl's, this was the line that was filmed for Conrad's new reality TV show, a documentary style series described as being somewhat similar to The September Issue. Unfortunately, the show was cancelled before airing for being too highbrow for MTV, but the sweet designs of Paper Crown remain.

Conrad's new fashion line bears an uncanny resemblance to her own wardrobe; Paper Crown is full of sweet separates, leather pieces, and flowing maxi dresses. She plays around with nudes, caramels, soft pinks, blues, while injecting sophisiticated shots of black in waistbands, and shorts.

There are a few tight dresses and printed blouses, but nothing too risky. Silk blouses and lightweight cardigan knits add a degree of wearability to the collection, which also features ruffled maxi dresses in creamy floral prints. The mix of well designed skirts, blouses, camel-colored blazers, shorts, and dresses, makes up the perfect capsule wardrobe.

LC devotees will be sure to love the collection. Stay tuned to find out when her new line hits stores!

Milly for Sperry Top-Sider® Platform Pump, $224.95

This capsule collection from Milly for heritage brand Sperry is a chic departure from the classic boat shoes we're accustomed to. The preppy style gets an update with Milly's signature colorful prints, along with details like platform heels, nautical rope ties, and wedge soles.

Manolo Blahnik for J. Crew Fall 2012

Though we have to wait until fall for this collaboration which will reportedly retail for $550 and up on jcrew.com, pointy-toe pumps and cropped pants are destined to be my go-to look for spring.
