Celebrities Bare Their Midriffs

It's not quite the 90s revival of minuscule baby tees, but stars like Rihanna, Jessica Szohr and Kate Bosworth dare to bare their midriffs.

Rihanna, Nicole Richie, Jessica Szhor, Kate Bosworth and Jennifer Lopez are putting a new spin on showing skin on the red carpet. Sporting a bare midriff is the latest trend to hit Hollywood. Cut out dresses, bandeaus, and cropped tops are just some of the ways celebrities are showcasing their midsections.

When Camilla Belle arrived at the From Prada to Nada premiere, she truly made an unforgettable entrance and fearlessly kicked off this trend. Wearing Jason Wu, the 24-year-old actress paired her bare midriff with Cartier jewelry and an Anya Hindmarch clutch ... but no accessory was able to distract from Belle's incredible abs. American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez didn't dare to bare as much of her midriff as Belle but went an equally sexy route. In high waisted shorts, Lopez offers onlookers just a hint of her abs but makes up for it with lots of leg.

Nicole Richie cozied up to husband, Joel Madden, wearing a white Halston dress at Elton John's Oscar party. The daring slit and cut out midriff detail showed just enough skin to leave tongues wagging. Rihanna visited Sydney, Australia in a knit crop top by Alexander Wang. A pair of Christian Louboutin "Lucifer" bow studded stilettos put a punk rock edge on this otherwise safe look.

Jessica Szohr masters the midriff reveal in neutrals. In a knit Jen Kao shirt and a vintage skirt from What Goes Around Comes Around, Szohr's choice of a subtle color palette let her svelte figure shine through. Completing the look with leopard print Christian Louboutin booties, Szohr is a red carpet standout. Kate Bosworth let just a sliver of her tummy show in Chloe at the Sundance premiere of Another Happy Day. Bosworth's silhouette goes from formal to foxy by showing just a hint of skin.
