Celebrity Trendspotting: Headbands

Celebrity Fashion

Love it or hate it, the forehead headband is showing up again for spring.

Did you think the across-the-forehead headband trend was on its way out? So did we! But judging by the celebs sporting them recently, this love-it-or-hate-it trend was just lying dormant for the winter and back on the scene for spring.

Lily Cole wore a chunky silver headband at the 2011 Jameson Empire Film Awards in London. The braided headband has a medieval feel and contrasts nicely with the model's dark locks. Marina Diamandis of Marina and the Diamonds took the headband in a new direction on the streets of London. Her hippy-inspired flower garland added an unexpected girly touch to a tough outfit.

Paris Hilton went boho in Beverly Hills in a dip-dyed maxi dress, oversized sunglasses, and gold headband worn low over her forehead. Skins actress Dakota Blue Richards looked sweet and demure at the premiere of Anuvahood in a headband adorned with white rosettes, worn slightly higher in her hair.

Ready to give the headband trend another try? Here are our shopping picks for beaded, metallic, and flowered headbands, like the ones seen on these stars:
