Drama was alive and well this week with celebs trying to outdo each other on the red carpet. Even though blacks, whites and neutrals still took center stage, there was the occasional hint of color and even some metallics. Necklines seemed to be either extremely low-cut or conservatively embellished.

Rachel McAdams at the Los Angeles Premiere of Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

The Marchesa Resort 2012 silver sequin gown Rachel donned for the premiere featured a fantastic draped back. Her Christian Louboutin shoes remained mainly hidden by the dress and she also wore Jacqueline Nerguizian gems.

Emma Watson at the Lancôme VIP Dinner in Hong Kong

The Lancôme spokesmodel opted for a midnight blue backless ballerina-style Elie Saab Fall 2011 Couture tulle mini. Emma’s dress included an embellished bodice along with velvet floral appliqué and was combined with Jimmy Choo Vamp sandals as well as a slick hairstyle and bold red lips.

Emily really stole the show thanks to this Giambattista Valli Pre-Fall 2011 gown with asymmetric sleeves. A black clutch and diamond stud earrings completed the standout red carpet look.

As usual, Amber was absolutely stunning in a belted ivory Alessandra Rich gown with front pockets and an embroidered underlay which was elegantly exposed on the back. Nude Christian Louboutin platform pumps and gold spike stud earrings served as accessories.
