SERENA WILLIAMS AND THE HOME SHOPPING NETWORK

On April 30th, tennis ace Serena Williams will be debuting a line of clothing and accessories (jewelry, handbags, and knits), that she worked on with the Home Shopping Networking. The collection will sell for between $29.95 and $100.

Williams is in good company with the likes of Paula Abdul and Iman having launched successful accessories lines for the Home Shopping Network in the past, and so far it looks like things are off to a good start with both Williams and HSN saying they hope to continue their partnership in the future.

HSN’s chief executive officer Mindy Grossman noted that HSN is all about building brands for the long term, and “that is certainly how we view Serena and her new Signature Statement collection. Her passion for fashion design is boundless, and we look forward to her expanding the line with new offerings each visit.”

For her part, Williams has said that she’s always looking to make statements both on and off the tennis court, and that one of her dreams has always been to “share gorgeous gifts of fashion and luxury with the world. Off the court, my passion is fashion. Signature Statement is my own line of accessories and fashion, complete from jewelry to dresses.”
