ANNA SHEFFIELD FOR TARGET

Though product information and images from the collection won’t be available till June, retail giant Target has just announced that they will be partnering with acclaimed accessories designer Anna Sheffield to launch a limited-edition jewelry collection, Anna Sheffield for Target.

Sheffield is the jewelry designer famed for her high-end costume jewelry label Bing Bang which was launched seven years ago in San Francisco. Each Bing Bang piece is handmade by Sheffield, and is produced using the traditional hand-hewn process.

The designer is said to draw much of her inspiration from her surroundings mixed with an affinity for vintage finds. Sheffield also has a Bespoke Collection and Fine Jewelry Collection and was one of three designers nominated for the prestigious CFDA Award for Accessory Design in 2007. Her celebrity fans include Mandy Moore, Cameron Diaz, and Kirsten Dunst.

This collection is the fifth jewelry launch in a series of limited-time accessories designers at Target.  Sheffield’s line will follow the one from accessory designers Karen Erickson and Vicki Beamon, whose limited edition jewelry collection was called Erickson Beamon for Target.  That line hit stores February 15th and will be available through June 26, 2009. Past jewelry collaborations have included Dean Harris for Target, as well as a partnership with renowned jewelry designer Justin Giunta for Subversive for Target.

The Anna Sheffield for Target collection will be available at Target stores nationwide and on Target.com August 30th through December 30, 2009.
