With the death of Maxime de la Falaise still fresh on everybody’s mind, comes news that Gaetano Mascolo, one of the founders of Toni & Guy Inc, died suddenly on Wednesday, May 6th en route to the hospital at the age of 65.
Further, Italian-born French fashion designer Pierre Cardin was hospitalized following a fall from a scaffolding last Friday, May 1st. The accident occurred on Cardin’s Lacoste property in the south of France.
The 86-year-old designer’s spokesman, Jean-Pascal Hesse, said that the French fashion designer has returned home after spending nearly two days in the hospital following the fall. In the statement, it is noted that doctors found Cardin’s health to be completely satisfactory, and gave him the green light to go back to work in a few days.
Despite his age, the designer – who shot to fame in the 1960’s – continues to oversee the 800 products licensed in his name and the renowned Maxim’s restaurant brand.
