TREND: LITTLE LEATHER JACKETS

Although PETA supporters may not be a fan of this new fashionable staple, the little leather jacket is going strong for Fall 2009 and will definitely be a must-have piece for your wardrobe. The motorcycle jacket was a hot item last season, and designers are getting creative with new modern cuts and styles. Fabrics come in unique shades and textures, including charcoal grays, shiny metallics, luxurious rust and copper tones, and exotic leathers that add a couture effect to the ready- to-wear designs. Casual styles are paired with summer dresses and evening gowns for a hard contrast to a dressed up look, and tailored coats are designed to be worn as a suit jacket alternative. However you look at it, these babies have come a long way from the 80’s.
