PARIS: ANN DEMEULEMEESTER S/S 2010

It will be no shock to fans of the revered Belgian designer Ann Demeulemeester to see that her Spring presentation is mostly black.

The cult-status label is known for showing some of the most well-cut, and in turn well received, collections.  This season, there was a softer motif behind the leather and chains – a caged bird.

Draped chains and a wonderful nature-inspired bird print were interjected throughout the collection, creating a clear and easily decipherable point-of-view.  This collection is quintessentially Demeulemeester.

It shows the best of the designer’s separates and accessories and is sure to delight buyers, editors and loyal fans alike. Tailored jackets, sweeping skirts, and the signature strappy accessories rounded out this collection – one of the most cohesive showing in recent seasons.
