With Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson sitting front-row it seems that most of the buzz around Charlotte Ronson’s Spring/Summer 2009 collections was not about the clothes. It’s a pity though, because there were some wonderful pieces in Ronson’s first show at the tents.
The celeb-designer stayed true to her casual-indie- chic design aesthetic and presented some delightfully flirty dresses. Many of her pieces looked vintage-inspirited and had a playful-relaxed feel to them that perfectly fits her 30-something- and-under-bohemian-glam client demographic.
Many of the looks were quite risqué with exposed undergarments and very short skirts. The choice of feminine floral prints however tamed many of those pieces.
There were beautiful bubble skirts, jackets, and the collection was a well-balanced mix of neutrals, with darker shades of gray and blues.
