MARC JACOBS SPRING 2009

The collection, with its models decked-out in a mix of colors, patterns, and textures, not to mention covered in accessories that included belts, hats, sunglasses, bangles, chunky necklaces, and handbags, was all about the excitement of dressing-up and a refined approach to excess and indulgence conjuring-up images of Georges Seurat paintings (especially given the hats that the models were wearing).

Keeping track of everything that was making its way down the runway was no easy feat given all that was meeting the eye.

That said, the collection with its modern/vintage dichotomy, waisted, trim silhouettes, rich colors, prints, glitter and sparkle, opulent fabrics, and intricate detailing is sure to be a hit with the loyal Marc Jacobs following.
