A mix of punk, mod, and a modern-day hipster flare were all the rage at the Spring/Summer 2009 Rag & Bone show.

The pants with their exposed zippers were very poser-punk to me and the looks that paired prints with leather pieces were harsh on the eye. I wish that David Neville and Marcus Wainwright had either gone further with their punk/rock theme or had railed it in just a little bit more.

That said, there were some James Bond/femme fetal meets LES hipster looks that I loved – namely the slim suits. I just wish once again that the pants hit past the ankle and that for the women, they were paired with something other than those clunky shoes.
The one shoulder dresses were somewhat reminiscent of Norma Kamali’s signature 80′s jersey dress in terms of shape as well as in the way the fabric gathered on the models body. However, I loved the pairing of the black one shoulder dress with the chunky belt and loose-fitting jacket. Loose cover-ups in neutral colors seem to be emerging as a trend (Yigal Azrouel mastered them in his show this season).
