Never one to skimp on the extravagance, Lebanese-American eveningwear designer Reem Acra piled on the silks and jewels for a spring collection made for a Mediterranean princess.

"I went into my imagination, into an attic that is in a palace and I opened the jewelry box, which is filled with semiprecious stones and beads and rows of fabrics around me," Acra said of her inspiration. "I started to wrap them and you get this collection. It's an imagination of luxury and royalty."
