LONDON PRE-FASHION WEEK BUZZ
The buzz couldn’t be more intense for London Fashion Week this upcoming season. In addition to Matthew Williamson, Burberry, Jonathan Saunders, and a number of other designers who typically show in New York, Milan, or Paris now showing in London, it is the Britain capital’s 25th Fashion Week anniversary. To celebrate this, Oxford Street will host the world's first high street Fashion Week.
Oxford Street, which boasts mega retailers like Topshop, Zara, Mango, H&M, Miss Selfridge, Urban Outfitters, River Island, and New Look will be holding a celebration of high street fashion September 7th - 11th, the week before the runway shows in London begin. Shoppers can expect everything from customer previews of the Fall/Winter 2009 collections, to beauty workshops, and late night champagne receptions.
Across the pond, lovers of Victoria Beckham's critically acclaimed Fall/Winter line of dresses can go to Harrods and Selfridges where the collection is now available (as well as on Net-a-porter). Speaking of Fall/Winter 2009, those who found themselves in the fashion week tents at Bryant Park were likely to spot Canadian model Coco Rocha interviewing celebrities, designer, and models with an E! camera crew in tow.
The on camera hosting gig was the model’s first stint and as such, she asked seasoned vet and fellow model Heidi Klum for some pointers. On June 30th, Rocha showed off her on-camera skills when she unveiled her work at the Bryant Park Hotel during a party co-hosted by Elite Model Management.

Fashion Week Daily managed to get clip of Rocha, who looks at ease and natural, interviewing Klum (http://blogs.fashionweekdaily.com/?p=16350). Among the pointers Rocha was given – make good eye contact, never be too prepared because you won’t look natural, and make every dress you wear shorter.
