The Fashion Spot

Jeanie Syfu, the TRESemmé Lead Stylist for The Fashion Show, was kind enough to give The Fashion Spot the low-down on everything we could possibly want to know about re-creating the hair looks that we were able to preview at The Fashion Show’s finale taping on June 26^th. See below for her expert tips – including ones for Merlin’s space age coif!

 
 
 
Anna:  ROMANTIC

• Using a 1” curling iron, spray small sections of hair with TRESemmé Thermal Creations Curl Activator Spray, and wrap the sections vertically around the curling iron creating an ‘S wave.’
• Make a side part using the tail of a comb.  From there, take the front section (fringe), and curl low on the forehead creating a flat, side swept finish.
• Lightly tease the back near the nape for slight volume and texture.  Using your fingers, gather hair loosely into a ponytail on the opposite side of the part.
• Split the ponytail in half, and gently tease.  Twist into a loose bun, and secure with pins.  Leave remaining hair to cascade over the shoulder.  Finish with TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Finishing Spray.

 
Daniella:  ROCKABILLY

• Take 1 1/2” sections of hair from the crown, and spray with TRESemmé Thermal Creations Curl Activator Spray.  Using a 1/2” curling iron, curl each section forward to create volume on top.  Pin and set.
• Leaving the top to set, loosely curl remaining hair vertically with a 1” curling iron to add texture.
• Take pins out from the top, and lightly brush.  Tease to create texture and volume.  Twist the base of the crown forward and pin, leaving the curled ends out.
• Take a diagonal forward section from the crown to the ears.  Using a comb, lightly tease for texture.  Pull both sides back to the crown, and twist, pinning at the base.
• Work remaining hair into a loose messy bun just above the nape.  Hold look in place with TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Finishing Spray.

Your profile should have volume through the front fringe area and the nape.  Crown should be flat.   
 
James Paul:  TRIBAL

• Rough dry TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Sculpting Spray Gel into hair using fingers, and let hair part naturally.  
• Take a horizontal section from ear to ear over the top of the head, and create 2 fishtail braids on each side right above the ear.  
• Wrap braids loosely around the remaining hair, securing with an elastic. Place in front of either shoulder.
• To get a deconstructed finish, pull the braids apart slightly, and pin.  Hold look with TRESemmé TRES Two Extra Hold Hairspray.
