My girlfriend has a Mulberry Bayswater bag that she loves very much. Today a full bottle of eye make-up remover broke inside the bag, and the botton of the bag was soaked. I'm not sure what the make-up remover consists of, but I guess plenty of water, alcohol and some oil. Anyway, it doesn't look good. In the Mulberry boutique the SA didn't know anything, so now I'm asking here, as I don't really know where else to go. Any leather experts that know if something can be done?
I'm certain there's also some chemical aspect as well? Turn the bag inside-out and try to lift the inner lining off the outer leather if possible? Find a reputable dry cleaner that also launders and handles swedes and leathers although this may call for dry cleaning chemicals? Not the same I know but my wife had a nail polish bottle open and a bit spilled in one of her Coach purses which the dry cleaner was able to remove.
hmmmm...is there a stain on the leather? im concerned that perhaps it may affect the color and dye process of the leather. if it were my bag, i think i would try to spot clean it with a rag with some warm water and try and take out as much of the chemcials as possible and hope it doesn't mess up the dye/coloring. then air dry it, or with a hairdryer on a cool setting...

If I were you, do not apply any sort of heat to that stained bag
Washing with hot water, etc. etc.
Heat will set the stain to the fabric
There's a good book called Haley's Hints
It has lots of recipes cleaning different kinds of stains, burnt pans, bathroom tubs, etc., and most using environmentally friendly products (like vinegar, baking soda, etc.) I remember in the infomercial, they were even able to remove permanent marker from a wall
