why didn't i know this site???
thanks softgrey!

most of the photographers are well known and can have single threads like horst p. horst, cecil beaton etc...., no?

i like this for its minimalism and own a little print of it:

What a great website softgrey! I love the way it's organized and I could easily spend hours looking through their archives. I found these by Georges Lepape...I really like some of his work.

and this formidable lady is quite interesting too .

I can't tell you how many times I've poured through the images at that site. I love the art deco period works, especially all of the Benito illustrations.
