escova progressiva

Hello,
First time poster here. Has anyone tried the hair treatment product called Escoba Progresiva? It's from Brazil and I haven't been able to find any reviews on the web ... my girlfriend is considering getting it applied ... I think it costs a few hundred bucks and you have to do it every few months ...

it's called 'escova progressiva' and there was an article a few months ago in allure magazine about it. the treatment has extremely high amounts of formaldehyde, a substance used in dead bodies that has been shown to cause cancer. also, there are extremely strong fumes during the application that cause eyes, mouth and nose to burn VERY hard.

i only saw your post now, i'm sorry i didn't answer earlier. i really hope your girlfriend didn't get it done...

thanks for the info ... I'll try and find that article in Allure and show it to my GF and pass on the info you provided ... I was surprised that not much came up on a google search ...
