About the voting, I think having points could be fun, but a bit confusing. I'm thinking maybe keeping it to the previous winner choosing their favorite could keep things running nicely.

Also,Cosette- Thank you for bringing up the size issue...I think that if a photo looks better in 80x80, then make it 80x80...if it looks better in 160x80, then keep it like that.
Just as long as there are 15, the size doesn't matter.

Its funny, Im kind of torn...I think it would definitely be fun to have the points and vote for the avatars...but i feel like it would become less of a library and more of a game..
I see one problem I personally think the most pictures looks good in 160x80 more than in 80x80. And in the end there is a possibility there are coming less 80x80 for the ones who want those
What about to post at least 6 - 80x80 size

hey guys. i was wondering about the size thing. would it be better if they were presented in both sizes? cos this is technically an avatar library as well as a competition and it would be a great shame if one really likes a particular av but cannot use it because it is of a different size. (lol i'm speaking from personal experience) what do you guys think?

Oh, I like this idea! I'm always on the hunt for new avatars lately, even now, and I've only had this one for three days max.

But what about some sort of labels for the posts so the search feature can be used when this thread gets huge?

^ I agree with polka_dot: we should put like a tag at the beginning of the post, saying i.e. "Contest #1 - Theme: Black & White" or anything like that. It would not only help us searching the avs once the thread will have become bigger, but it would also be useful to separate the "them-avys" from the random or improvised ones (as I think I understood that from now on this will be the thread for those also).

^ I'm not sure about the 80x80; it's true, as mangostyle said, that generally avys look better as 160x80. I think it may depend also on that the human sight is a bit "widescreen-like", so anything of the same ratio kinda looks more natural to our eyes (maybe Long John Silver would like 80x80 better... ); but I'm not sure about having a certain amount of them to be included by rule; we could get to see less gorgeous avys beacause of that rule, maybe we can go on posting them as 160x80 or 80x80 as we like, and then if somebody comes and ask "could you turn that in a small avy?", we can provide. What do you all think?

p.s.
GORGEOUS avys, everybody!!! With such great competition, I just can't choose which avys to post!
