Email Notifications ... How To Turn them On and Off

I'm not sure if this has already been posted, forgive me if it has.
I will be going away soon, and don't want my inbox to fill up with email notifications about new posts. Is there a way to turn off all notifications?
-G.

Quick Links -> Edit Options -> scroll to Messaging & Notification and choose No email notification (in the box called Default Thread Subscription Mode)

email notice topic

Hello! I'm having a problem with all the emails I receive about any reply on any topic I visit. I would like to delete this option, is it possible? Thankyou very much.

Click on "User CP" in the dark gray menu bar above.

Then look at the menu section on the left side of your screen and click on "List Subscriptions"

Once the list appears, you will see a check box to the right of each subscribed thread; you can edit how the notifications work.

Go to User CP

Under New Subscribed Threads, click "view all subscribed threads" in lower right. You should now see a list of all your subscribed threads.

The last two columns are notification, which shows what type of notification you have selected, and a checkbox. Check the boxes of the threads you don't want to receive notifications from, or the top box to change all.

Choose No Email Notification from the Selected Threads drop-down menu in the lower right if you want to keep the subscriptions but not get the notifications, or Delete to remove the subscriptions entirely, and press Go.

This should stop you from getting email notifications; if not, please post back and let us know.

User CP >> Edit Options
Then under Messaging & Notification there is Default Thread Subscription Mode where you can set it to 'Instant email notification' or whichever you want

I wanted to draw attention to this too, I'm not recieving any email notifications anymore. These are emails I want, for certain threads and especially profile comments and private messages.

For any thread I reply to, I get automatically subscribed to recieve instant notification for that thread. I don't want this...

I saw where people asked the same thing earlier, and then people followed by posted links to help them... except none of those links seem to be working. Could someone please give a little assistance? A link to guide me? Would be much appreciated!

^ If you go to Edit Options, then to the "Messaging & Notification" box, there should be an option for removing notifications.
