^ Well, they only delete the thumbnails right? Because I see tons of "there was an error with this thumbnail" but it generally works if you click on the image.

I really hoep this gets worked out!

I hate supload, imageshack has always been good until now. It seems everyone is seeing frogs, but all the photos are still working for me...

That has happened since yesterday. I have only used imageshack ever since i became a member here. All the images are frogs now. I wish to upload images, but I reckon I shall wait.

That's what I thought, and why I usually used it. Unfortunately, now I don't trust any image-hosting site in the slightest and I still hate uploading attachments, since their location in one's post can't be defined...

I've seen pictures and scans here lately that were 700K or larger. I saw one yesterday that was over 1.3 Mb for a single picture.

If ImageShack has pulled the plug, that's probably why.

But can you really get HQ images that are under 50k?

And really, if ImageShack had such a problem with bandwidth then why do they allow uploads up to 1.5MB in the first place?!

Post only the Thumbnails here, not the full images. Let the thumbnails link to the full images as they should which is actually part of the ImageShack TOS.

I'm referring to the dozens of full size images on some of the supporting cast pages. The images on some of those pages add up to well over 10Mb.

I've never noticed anyone post full size scans without using a thumbnail...if it happens, it must be quite rare, right? I'm in the SC and Magazine forums quite a bit and I hardly see that happening, at least not enough to warrant ImageShack to ban hotlinking alltogether.

Not at all. Look at the Allessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima threads as well as several others. Some are thumbnailed, but not all. Not sure if they're using ImageShack or not, but then again we don't know for certain that IS has pulled the hotlink plug officially or not. Still may be a glitch of some sort.

Even if it isn't a bandwidth issue for IS, full size HR images directly posted to the board do cost TFS a lot of bandwidth.

ImageShack pictures are not working because tFS has been put on their no-list. In the Best Boobs thread in Models Etc., they found that a lot of pictures were considered porn. In their guidelines it is prohibited to share porn, so they 'banned' tFS. The thread is now deleted and we will contact ImageShack shortly to hopefully fix the problem.

Thanks for the explanation, Mr-Dale! I had a feeling it could be because of the boob thread.

Perhaps then it's probably best to delete my above post....if ImageShack see it they might get angry that people have found a way to fix it on their own... and I don't want to jeopardize our chances of getting the ban lifted.

Thanks for the info Mr-Dale. I guess if people are gonna upload those kinds of pictures, then then should do them as attachments? I don't think I ever posted in that thread, but I can see why Imageshack would not like it. It's so difficult when it comes to fashion, since most of us see it as art, while others see it as.....non art

^I agree, and posting nudity as attachments sounds like the best idea.
