perhaps after a certain number of posts (1500?) members can have the 160x80 avatars? instead of only moderators and premium members having them?

What happened was you got a larger avatar when there was a 'contributing member' at first this was around 30 specially selected members then it was a system put into place this included having so many posts and so many karma points, which in effect gave extra privilidges. That system was taken away after some debate, and now I believe you can only get larger avatars if you pay the membership fee, I'm not sure what changes may take place in the future, but this is the situation as it stands. (as far as I know...I could be wrong)

its nice to express yourself with a avatar
I mean at other forums they have avatars with a size of 100x100 and other privilidges. If they want to compete with other forums they have to organise some privilidges with the avatar etc. otherwise mayb they can lose some members..

I hope it will change soon ..

Avatar/other privileges are offered only to Premium Members and Mods because running a large forum like tFS (over 35,000 members, YAY!) is a very costly venture. We're constantly outgrowing our servers and it takes money to keep us up and running. Premium Membership is a way to show one's support for the community. So lets hear it for our Premium Members!

i have an avatar in large size but when i put it to upload place it looks little.is there a trick to make it bigger??

I'm not sure, but I think that only the moderators can have large avatars. Which is a bit annoying, since the bigger avatars look a whole lot better, but I guess there is a reason for that rule.

I had a large avatar as i was a premium member, but i tried to change it today and i wasn´t allowed to have a biiger one again.

I tried to upload again the one i had just minutes ago, and it was resized to be 80 x 80!

If i knew it i wouldn´t have even tried to change it...

Because from what I understand, the free trial was over... your avatar stays large until you change it and then it goes back to 80x80

I still like mine, so I haven't changed it yet, but when I do, it would go back to 80x80
