Maybe it should be set so that only those with 100+ posts can add links?

Exactly. I'm doing the dirty work here.

I think that's a good idea, Maarit.

yes darling...we are, of course, splitting up the task of monitoring that section...the idea of having it set to only members with a certain number of posts is an interesting one...i will look into this further as well...good thinking maarit...

you guys are on the ball...

We will setup some moderation on the links section. FYI - I'll make sure we enhance this section big time with our new skin, It's an awesome reference we're building!

I added a few more categories:
http://www.thefashionspot.com/links/index.php?c=1

As far as boutiques, I am looking into a solution to create a city database and then we can link the stores, designers, etc to locations... So give me some time to take care of a few things and I will get back to that.

thanks andy...did you also want to include hair stylists with make-up?...fashion stylists could probably be incuded with that section as well...these people are usually represented by agencies that have all three and don't have individual websites...

whatever you think...

Could the same be done with the travel section..not a city database..but a country database..it would make the link tool much more relevant..because usually people visit one country at a time (atleast thats what I do), and not having to sort away a lot of links that have nothing to do with the place I'm travelling to would be a whole lot more hassle-free

i dont think its nessesary to include links to labels/designers we dont really approve.. some can be left out, our links are also our 'propositions' for the rest of tFS members and all those checking the site, so dont feel obliged to add up sites of designers -or services- you dont approve.

i like the idea of 100+ post platform for boutique link additions,
i anycase, links are moderated by our mod squad,
so feel safe, spam is hard to go through

like Andy said, the link database will develop in time..
no need to rush much more with the holiday season well underway

Lena - I can't get my avatar back so I was trying to send my pic saved on my pc to Hanne who has agreed to resize them for me so I can use them again. But I couldn't attach them to the pm I was sending to Hanne. How do I send images? Since the system changed I haven't posted any pictures at all - I am really bad at posting pictures anyway but now I am even more daunted by it.....

click the 'image' button just above the typing space when posting messages and go from there helena, its not very complicated, actually its easier than with the old FS posting images system ...but i'm moving both our posts to the right place

Softie, that's what I was thinking as well. I only had one link for a personal site of a stylist but I've got more for agencies which rep stylists. But I still feel there should be a thread for photographers. There's definitely more personal sites of photogs, than there are stylists so perhaps you could change that and add the agency section.
