Is It Possible to Change my User Name?

Please read the following, from the tFS FAQ (italics added for relevance):

Quote:

How can I change the information in my profile?

It is your responsibility to keep the information in your profile up-to-date. You should especially ensure that your email address is kept current. You can alter any of the fields in your profile, except your username. Once you have registered your username, it becomes yours for life. In extreme circumstances, you may request that the administrator change your username, but he or she will require a very good reason to do so.
It is true that we were more free about user name changes for a while, but this was creating too much confusion and so we have reverted to the original policy.

Thanks for your cooperation and understanding, and our apologies for any disappointment.

I don't believe you can remove your warn status.

Some people get the impressions I'm a guy because of "papa" in my name.
Literally translated, it means "Dad, get up!" but I am starting to despise is now.

Help?

Wasn't there a name-change thread here earlier this year? I remember that you could post your name-change request on there, and a few days later it would be changed.

Whatever happened to that?
I want to change my username.

We were we doing it for a while as a test, but we are no longer doing that because of the practical problems it caused and the moderation time it was taking away from the forums. So you are pretty much stuck with what you have now.

Sorry.

can some mod tell us what the extreme circumstances are for agreeing to change our username?
it makes so many of us unhappy that we're stuck with something we hate, isn't that enough reason?may i suggest that there will be mandatory to keep the former username as a signature for a while so other members will catch up for a month or so...there are other options...
how about allowing members to only 1 username change..and final..
and one more question:is there even a possibility in the near future that we'll have a shot?
or:members get only one day in a year to have that option..as you can see i'm desperate for this
I'm beggin'you!

Well if we told you that we'd have to kill you!!

Actually, about the only times we have done a name change lately is for an underage girl who was using her real name and for a member who picked a name that was offensive to others (the member was not English speaking and did not know) and when that member figured it out, made a request that we honored. But nothing else has come up that we felt was an emergency.

We don't have the manpower to do it for everyone who wants to change and almost impossible to track ... we already tried. And it's not fair to do if for some and not for others. Hating a name you picked is not an emergency. Sorry gang ....

I thought so too, if I hadn't read the word "femme" under your username. It's ok, I actually like your username.

My username's starting to sound cheesy. I don't even remember how I came up with it.

I know-I hate mine also> I created it it ages before I ever started posting, when I just needed to register fast to see pictures...and now that I post and stuff, I hate it.

Don't worry I dislike my username too but I won't be able to change it anytime soon either. We're all in the same boat.

I know they don't do username changes anymore, but I know a lot of people who would PAY to have it done. Maybe they could provide that service for a fee?
